EMR stands for Electronic medical records, an electronic (digital) collection of medical information about a person that is stored on a computer which is the digital equivalent of paper records, or charts at a clinician’s office.
EMR
Electronic Medical Record
EMRs typically contain general information such as treatment and medical history about a patient as it is collected by the individual medical practice. An electronic medical record includes information about a patient’s health history, such as diagnoses, medicines, tests, allergies, immunizations, and treatment plans. Also called EHR and electronic health records.
EMR in Health Node
EMR contains comprehensive information and records of the patient’s history with one provider. Medical information is often highly sensitive, in both a social and legal sense, so a closed blockchain such as Hyperledger Fabric helps to retain the necessary privacy required for Health Node. In the EMR module, the Admin has the ability to create users for the lab, doctors, nurses and even pharmaceutical representatives. The admin also creates patients in the system from who medical record entry is requested by the industry users. The patients can also make doctor appointments and lab test appointments in the EMR portal. All the data shared by the patient and all the data shared to the patient such as lab results etc resides in the blockchain component of the Health Node system. This private Blockchain will have the capabilities to keep the data secure and ledgers protected as well. Network is controlled using Hyperledger modeling and access control languages. Blockchain as a Hyperledger to protect all participants.
